Account Executive/Outside Sales

Position Overview

The AE will be responsible for high activity direct B2B sales of transport, internet, and unified communication services to small and medium businesses. The AE is responsible for monthly quota attainment through revenue generation by selling telecommunication services. AE will be responsible for business development, target marketing, funnel management, account development, customer relations.

Essential Job Functions

• Account management
• Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking meetings
• Create proposals, pricing development and negotiating
• Administrative responsibilities related to Zoho CRM, reporting and sales projections

Requirements

• Successful, direct outside telecom sales experience in B2B markets
• BA, BS Business/Marketing/Management or equivalent industry experience
• Very strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills
• Business acumen
• Proficient in PCs, Microsoft office applications, outlook, mapping software such as google earth

Other Skills/Abilities

• Can-do, positive attitude
• Ability to sell in both short and long-term cycles
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications industry
• Ability to sell to “C” level
• Ability to create strong inter-departmental relationships
• Strong presentation and negotiations skills
• Professional image and demeanor * History of successful sales goal achievements
• Understanding of technical specifications of telecommunications networking from both the ISP and OSP perspectives

Required Education:

• High school or equivalent

Required Experience:

• Outside Sales: 1 year
• Sales: 1 year
• Telecommunication: 1 year
• Managed Service Provider: 1 year
